Hallo and welcome to here! Well here I am. After all this time. Still singing, although I did stop for a while. But that was only for 30 years or so – a mere blink of an eye… I have attempted to squash the last 50 odd years into a meaningful short biography. Hah! There is loads I have left out because I didn’t want to ramble. But I shall add stuff from time to time as it occurs to me. If you like. Please feel free to contact me and remind me of what I’ve forgotten. I like ‘do you remembers’ and ‘what was that thens’ . If I haven’t credited anyone that should be credited for photos etc. please contact me and I will do so. Please sign my guestbook! Love Judy

CD no. 3. After years of nothing- three come along at once. Well almost at once……… Another revisited song from ages gone by, two songs remixed and more new ones ‘Starlight’ just keeps going round and round So what shall I do next? I wonder what will turn up? Wait and see………………

Tracks: See Emily Play, Final Hour, Misty Morning, Fingest, Honeysweet, Shining,
Darkness To Light, Wiggle Waggle, Thank You My Dear So - here it is then. The next adventure. ‘Spindle’ first, then the complementary ‘Whorl’ to be released later. One song from my far distant past and eight songs written the day before yesterday… ‘Emily’ : First heard in the days of the last gas-lamp lighters of 1968. I have sung it for the first time here all up-to-date and terrific. Dance away on……… Anyway, it’s really good to be singing again and with such talented musicians as well. How fortunate can I get? And the sheer pleasure of listening to the songs grow from their early beginnings to their finished ends was such a jolly thing !

I really hope you will enjoy listening to these snippets and that you will want to hear more. Love
Some histories are chequered. Judy Dyble’s is patterned, a woven tapestry of music, tinted with the psychedelic colours of the Sixties and the darker tones of the present day. Born in London, Judy grew up amid the folk revival and the burgeoning London rock scene, becoming the lead singer with Fairport Convention in 1967. She made one album with them - Fairport Convention and recorded a single, If I Had A Ribbon Bow. A recent TV documentary on Richard Thompson shows that early Fairport line-up with Judy singing. Judy went on to record with Giles, Giles and Fripp. Check out their album, The Brondesbury Tapes , for jazz-meets-rock-meets folk .In 1969 Judy formed Trader Horne with Jackie McAuley. They recorded a delightfully whimsical album - Morning Way - before breaking up. Through the Seventies and Eighties Judy worked with her husband Simon on their tape-duplicating business in Oxfordshire, venturing out occasionally to sing with Fairport at their annual festival in the village of Cropredy. Now she has emerged into the limelight again, this time with producer Marc Swordfish, who has worked on recordings by Berlin and Guns and Roses, to name but two names. The result of their collaboration is an exciting and unusual album that combines their talents. Live musicians and synthesised sounds make up a backing to Judy’s delicate and airy vocals in an eclectic combination of different musical genres. Old songs, new songs and a Brian Patten poem are treated to mind-expanding arrangements that bring out the full range of Judy’s writing and vocals. Ian Maun
